Loud Apartment is a New York City based band led by singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Nevaris. The band's debut album, Get Up Get Down, was released on Nolej Records in 2012, featuring special guest Bernie Worrell (P-Funk/ Talking Heads), and was mixed by Bill Laswell. Loud Apartment’s music is inspired by Nevaris' upbringing on the "Old Upper West Side" of Manhattan, with an energy and ecclectic sound that blends rock with funk and soul and other elements. Loud Apartment has appeared as an integral part of New York’s Uncomun events, performing monthly at the original Uncomun series held at Galapagos Art Space, and performing at the Uncomun Festival in 2010, 2012 and 2014. (Santos Party House, Drom, and Black Bear Bar.) They were joined by Bernie Worrell on keyboards for their 2012 Uncomun set. Loud Apartment is currently working on their second studio album, due for release in 2016.
